As the song recalls it is a wonderful town. Been away too long. Such a polyglot and eye popping city.

My more unusual takeaways are watching a man cross the road with a cat sat on his hat- Dr Seuss watch out.! The inner sanctum of the Met where the remake of the Crown Affair was filmed, one of zmy all time favourites : the pram pushers in Central Park ; the ubiquitous NYPD ; the crazy traffic and walk or not to walk signs; a smiling lady from a diamond shop window; and poignantly the words of a wife who lost her husband on 9 /11
