Spicy cinnamon

Not local I know, but I stumbled upon a tasting sensation in Hale after a hard days drive arriving at 10.30 at night. We requested staple fare, chicken madras and chicken xxxx and we’re then indulged with a marvellous treat, a luxurious and honeyed palate was cut with a melange of spicy notes washed down with 2 carafes of excellent house wine.
The meal was served in unpretentious white bowls brimming with meat and hot enough to be enjoyed without hot candle-plates.

I asked the owner Furek what his secret was, and with a glint in his eye he said “fresh meat not frozen”  We both knew this was a cover. As we left he nonchalantly said “when you come again let me choose for you.”  I will. Cinnamon is now logged in my memory and in my sat nav.

Simply delicious.

However,  am still looking for an Indian tasting experience nearer to home in Suffolk.
