Go Ape!

High Lodge – Thetford

I took my son and three of his buddies for his birthday party to Go Ape at Thetford High Lodge, an hours run in the car for us with bikes loaded on the back of the estate.

They had great day out, not only in the trees, as junior tartans, with birthday boy leading the way, and then the zip wire to finish but biking to next venue, the Pyramid slide, musical woods and jig jammy swing.

Weather could have been kinder as heavens open – and thunder heard and in the downpour that followed we headed for the restaurant…….  but rain to youngsters is fun (I like it too!) and even the roar of Thor can go scarily unnoticed.

It took us a while to round them up !

Downsides

• facilities need to be improved
• coffee shop poor – continentals would provide an alternative experience
• charging for maps!

Upsides

• layout and location is fun.
• lots to do again bike trails never really explored
• I loved THE FACT no cars on site once away from the car parks… like a continental favourite… Wengen ski resort

We would go again...
