Take That ….Hollywood Style
Olly Murs was the warm up act. He entered full of bristling energy and buzz in black leather trousers and matching sleeveless T-shirt. He knocked out some standards including Twist Again and rendition of Shout -made famous by Lulu
and wrapped up with a visual nod to his new baby, Madison and the repetitive but audience pleaser Heart Skips a Beat !
Take That emerged in a blizzard of snow and set a high standard in terms of vocal harmonies, stage presence and a hugely impressive hollywood set
with spinning staircases, and as the finale approached, a colossal walkway that traversed the audience to a smaller circular circus style stage that had my head spinning as it rotated around.
They certainly like to dress up!
They left no stone unturned with a full set list of all their hits – and I enjoyed the simple Spanish flavour and guitar on the Howard solo Speak Without Words
