July 1st Monday -Day 1 Court One.

First time experienced new roof. Feels more expansive than centre.

S Halep (7) v A Sasnovich Halep in 2 sets 6-4 -7-5  1.4 hours – Sasnovich had chances in 2nd set but Halep fought back

J Vesely v A Zverev Vesely win 4-6/6-3/6-2/7/5 Alexander lost his way missed break points . Credit Jiri  he played some solid tennis.

V Williams v C Gauff. Youngster win 6-4 6-4.Outstanding from 15 year old came thru Roehampton qualifiers. Calm and composed electric quick around court- some heavy hitting. Venus heading towards 40….

July 3rd  – Wednesday Day 3 Court 2

Front row AA service line great view. Cue camera all day. It was a hot day.Phew!

S Wawrainka (22) v R Opelka. The later, giant won in 5 sets 7-5/6-3/6-4/4-6/6-8. W loves to ad lib with crowd plus his big back swing caught lines lady- so quick hug and then on with the match.

S Halep V M Buzarnescu – Halep win 3-6 /4-6/ 6-2
Hotly contested 2nd set was turning point for Halep. Maybe also super hot day played a part.

K Anderson (4) V J Tipsarevic Anderson won 6-4/6/7(7-5)/6-1/6-4
Heavy serving followed by big hitting ground strokes. Many serves headed our way !!
